The book recommendations on this page come in all formats and genres. The sites listed below are intended to be a resource for individuals, groups, and especially book groups who wish to stay up-to-date with popular and well-reviewed book titles.
General
Somers Library "Staff Picks" for 2024 or "Staff Picks" 2023 or "Staff Picks" 2022 - Annually, staff submit their favorite reads from the prevous year.
Goodreads. Goodreads is an American social cataloging website that allows individuals to search its database of books, annotations, quotes, and reviews. Users can sign up and manage books they wish to read, have read, and/or share reviews with authors and readers.
Library Reads. A monthly nationwide library staff picks list. Readers can download a printable pdf or a given month.
National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) NNLM Reading Club. Seventy-eight titles from 21 health-related topics provide "ready made" book titles, along with free and downloadable materials which can help people make informed decisions about their health.
National Public Radio (NPR) NPR "Morning Edition Book Club.
New York Times Book Review "Best Sellers." Weekly list of fiction and non-fiction books, with graphic books and manga, mass market all published monthly."
NovelistPlus. A rich resource for readers advisory; provides browsing by categories and types, genre, appeal, themes, award winners; or quick links, and suggests "read alikes;" also audiobooks.

Good Morning America (GMA) Book Club.
Jenna Bush Hager's Book Club Books independently chosen by Jenna Bush Hager and are simply some of her favorite reads.
Oprah's Book Club. Printable list and checklist can be downloaded and printed.
Reese's Book Club. Reese Witherspoon chooses a book monthly with a woman at the center of the story. Vision is: "Women: May we write them truer, raise them higher, and read them more."
Today Show's Read with Jenna Book Club. Jenna Bush Hagar picks a new book to read together and discuss each month.
